Today I completed the 7km route with only one rest period. It took me 50minutes to complete the route. Ran 8km on Friday evening and a short 2.4km on Saturday so I was still feeling the soreness in my legs.
Anyway, that is only one-third of the 21km half-marathon. Seems like a long way to go but I will and must persevere.
Training for a half-marathon is tough. But looking back, I've made improvements over the past month such as being able to run longer distances without rest. 24th August is the day and that would be another 4 more months.
I am partly doing this to prove to my pupils that even without any experience except with hope, heart and determination, one is able to accomplish his/her goals. Hope I can see this promise through.
