Show Me Sand the Floor!

Teacher: Right the circle. Left the circle.

Daniel-san (pupil): But wouldn't it be easier doing it back and forth?

*Teacher disagrees and made Daniel repeat the action many times over till late at night *

What do you think is the lesson here?
Did Daniel learn anything from sanding the floor?
Or was it a waste of time?
What do you think would happen if Daniel insisted on his own method after his teacher had left him?

What do you think is the moral of the story?

Teacher: Always look eye.

MrDA13's version: Eyes on the board.

If you want to build a ship don't herd people together to collect wood and don't assign them tasks and work, but rather teach them to long for the endless immensity of the sea.
