Assignment #1: My Hero

In light of the latest 'Superman Returns' movie, the notion of a hero has become somewhat confused with someone who must save millions of lives or have the ability to fly.

For the first assignment, you are to write in your blog on the topic; "My Hero" in 200 words or more. Simply put, the topic is about the person (fiction/non-fiction) that you think is your hero and give reasons why.

Use the following to help you;-
- why you think the person is your hero
- what she/he has done that you think deserve him/her to be called a hero
- what qualities that he/she has that typifies a hero.

Remember, a hero doesn't need to have superpowers to be called a hero. A hero is defined by someone who forsakes his happiness for others.

to be submitted by 9th August 2006
PS: Please title the entry "My Hero"

P5 Camp at Serimbun

Have a little faith in me

"ooh it was so scary!",
said Michelle our aspiring Rock Climber

The P5 camp was filled with mixed review. There were tears of joy as well as tears of sadness as the camp came to a close at the end of a gruelling 3 day 'ordeal'.

Braving the mud-walk, overcoming 30feet wall-climb, and shouting out incessant cheers that pierced the tranquility were but some of the activities we had to do. As tired as we all were at the end of the 3 days, we knew that we had conquered not only the weather and the mosquito-ridden environment but most importantly......ourselves!

P5E was a bunch of resilient group of pupils. No one from the class cried at the end of the 3 days. Congratulations P5E!

First Post

This blog, ProjectBlogo (for lack of better name really :P was set up as a portal to news, teaching resources, events and happenings of my pupils of Yew Tee Primary. You could say that I'll be your class' historian as I document your journey as your form teacher. ProjectBlogo is a perpetual work in progress so stay tune for more pleasant surprises.

ProjectBlogo will stay up and running so long as I am doing what I love and that is teaching. Let's keep in touch for the long haul.
