The Interview - What's Their Secret?

(from left) Bevaan, Rizwan, Yan Ling and Vernice bagging the Maths and Science Achievement awards

I study Maths 5.5 hours a day. I do Maths assessments and 1 Science assessments everyday. I play the piano during my free time only. I didn't play computer for 2 months prior to the exams
:(

Actually, I prefer doing Maths assessment to playing computer. The day when the exams was over, my brother was playing computer games. I was doing my Maths assessment.

Everyday, I go home after school, I will do my homework and the rest of the time I will do my own homework for about 3 hours.
On Saturdays, I go to my grandparents' house. On Sundays, I go to Warren Golf Club which is at Choa Chu Kang to play golf. After that, I go home and study.

I revise and read Science notes everyday about 2 hours. And my mother bought for me a few exam papers from other schools. I did quite well. My friend's mother taught me. And my teacher explained things that I did not understand. Also because of my mother who kept encouraging me. This is what made me get 3rd in Science.

Showdown at Sundown!

31st May 2008
more details here

This is it everyone. 15 days to the day I run my first marathon.
I've made so many changes since the day I planned to run the marathon (about 2 months back). At first I planned to run the Standard Chartered Marathon in December but not before running the 21km half-marathon (Singapore Bay Run ) for experience. However the more I train, the more confident I got and so decided to attempt the nearest available marathon which is the Adidas Sundown Marathon, Singapore's first night marathon.

the 42km route

I've trained for it, did my background research on it, believe in myself and my abilities, and all that is left is to hope for the best. That should be the attitude in facing any challenges.

Will I stumble and fail in my attempt or will I sail past the finish line with hands raise in victory? In Life, there's no guarantee but one thing I can be sure of is that I will do my best!

Some men succeed because they are destined to, but most men succeed because they are determined to.

Everyone has his/her reasons for running the marathon. I especially like the last one :)

Gambate!

Gambate (pronounced as gam-bah-teh) - Japanese word for 'Go for it!!' or 'Try your best!!'
It's often echoed before a challenge.

All the best for your exams my fellow pupils! Show them what you're made of!

And gambate!
