Mario Kart Love Song Music Video

This song is so cute :)

lyrics:

V1:
You be my princess
I'll be your toad
I'll follow behind you
on rainbow road
Protect you from red shells
wherever we go
I promise.

V2:
Noone will touch us
if we pick up a star
If you spin out
you can ride in my car
When we slide together
we generate sparks
in our wheels and our hearts

Chorus:
The finish line
is just around the bend
I'll pause this game
so our love will never end
Let's go again

V3:
The blue shell is coming
so I'll go ahead
If you hang behind
it'll hit me instead
but never look back
cause I'm down but not dead
I'll catch up to you

Bridge:
Don't worry about
Bowser or DK
Eat this glowing mushroom
and they'll all fade away

Chorusx2

to the mushroom cup
and the flower cup
and the star cup
and the reverse cup

How To Be Happy :)

The Man Who Refused Help

One day there a big flood hit a village. Everyone was evacuated and fled for safety, except for one man who believed that God will save him. He always said that he had faith in God and He would come and save him.

As the water level rose, a jeep came to rescue him but he refused help and said, “God will save me. I have faith.” So the jeep went away. As the water level rose further, he went up to the second story. Not long after, a boat came by and the owner of the boat asked the man to hop in so that they could move to the safe place. Again the man refused and said, “God will save me. I have faith.” So the boat went…

The water kept rising and rising and finally the man was forced to climb up to the roof. A helicopter came to rescue him, but again he refused and said, “God will save me. I have faith.” So the chopper went…

In the end, no one came by to rescue him and the man drowned. When he came face to face with God, he angrily commented, “I have complete faith in you. Why did you ignore my prayers and let me drown?” To that God replied, “Who do you think sent the jeep, the boat, and the helicopter?”

Moral of the story:

We all have to take action to help ourselves. Nobody will help you unless you first decide you want to be helped. In this case, making a decision is the first action you have to take.

Go the Distance

I have often dreamed
Of a far-off place
Where a hero's welcome
Will be waiting for me
Where the crowds will cheer
When they see my face
And a voice keeps saying
This is where I'm meant to be

I'll be there someday
I can go the distance
I will find my way
If I can be strong
I know ev'ry mile
Will be worth my while

When I go the distance
I'll be right where I belong

Down an unknown road
To embrace my fate
Though that road my wander
It will lead me to you
And a thousand years
Would be worth the wait
It might take a lifetime
But somehow I'll see it through

And I won't look back
I can go the distance
And I'll stay on track
No, I won't accept defeat
It's an uphill slope
But I won't lose hope
Till I go the distance
And my journey is complete

But to look beyond the glory is the hardest part
A hero's strength is measured by his heart
Ooooooooooooooooooo
( guitar solo )

Like a shooting star
I will go the distance
I will search the world
I will face its harm
I dont care how far
I can go the distance
Till I find my heros welcome
Waiting In your arms

I will search the world
I will face its harms
Till I find mt hero's welcome
Waiting in your arms

Finally.

Failed on the first attempt but made it on the 2nd try.

Hard work. Commitment to a dream. Sacrifice and Believe in yourself.

Strategies for the Maths Test

1. Be Like the Hungry, Hungry Hippos
Complete as many questions as you can especially the ones you have confident of doing. This is especially important in Paper 1 (the one where you cannot use a calculator). Do not waste too much time on a question especially when there are others you can do with ease.

And just like the rule of the Hungry, Hungry Hippos game, "whoever gobbles up the most marbles wins".

I only get to play this game ONCE during my childhood *sob*sob*

2. Revise Your Heuristics. Have Faith in Them. Believe in Yourself.

Stick to your training.

Read the questions and anticipate the techniques/heuristics you are going to apply to solve them. For the full list of the heuristics, you can of course go to Moodle.

And even when you get your answer, do not get complacent. Use logic-check and use 'work backwards' technique to check for the validity of your answer.

the Legendary 7 -methods can combo to take out those 4-5m questions; just like the Power Rangers Ultra-Mega Giant Zord... haha:)

-------

3. 4-5 Mark Question ;- Focus on Your Strengths. Keep Things in Perspective and Don't Lose Your Cool

As we've seen many times, the 4-5 mark questions will normally consist of questions covering;-
- Models (for topics of Ratio, Percentage, Decimal and Fraction),
- Speed,
- Area and Perimeter of Circle
- Volume
- Number Patterns (maybe)
- Non-Routine problem

And I'm sure you have strengths(s) for 1 or more of the above topics. Knowing this will improve your self-confidence and keep anxiety at bay. Besides, all the topics (except the non-routine) have a certain 'weaknesses' (techniques to overcome them) :P

Remember, there's always a solution :)

to be continued....

Podcasts in Education

Podcasts enable students and teachers to share information with anyone anytime. If a student is absent, he or she can download the podcast of the recorded lesson. Teachers may also create podcasts to be used as a preparation tool for students. This would be pedagogically equivalent to having students read a text before a lesson. It can be a tool for teachers or administrators to communicate curriculum, assignments and other information with parents and the community. Teachers can record book talks, vocabulary or foreign language lessons, international pen pal letters (podcast pals!), music performance, interviews, debates. Podcasting can be a publishing tool for student oral presentations.

Go Planet! - An Episode on Oil Spill and Water Pollution

Eco-Cartoon from the 80s.

Food for Thought
- What type of pollution was featured in the show?
- What is the pollutant?
- How does the pollution affect sealife eg, walrus, seagulls and fish? Does it affect the sealife the same way?

- What suggestions were given at the end of the show as ways to save our environment?

Dedicated to Those Who Keep On Persevering

Reach the heights that you are striving for and enjoy “The Climb”. You'll eventually reach the summit :)

Here is to a great second half of 2010.

-MrDanny

I can almost see it
That dream I am dreaming
But there's a voice inside my head saying
"You'll never reach it"

Every step I'm taking
Every move I make feels
Lost with no direction
My faith is shaking

But I gotta keep trying
Gotta keep my head held high

There's always gonna be another mountain
I'm always gonna wanna make it move
Always gonna be a uphill battle
Sometimes I'm gonna have to lose

Ain't about how fast I get there
Ain't about what's waiting on the other side
It's the climb

The struggles I'm facing
The chances I'm taking
Sometimes might knock me down
But no, I'm not breaking

I may not know it
But these are the moments that
I'm gonna remember most, yeah
Just gotta keep going

And I, I got to be strong
Just keep pushing on

'Cause there's always gonna be another mountain
I'm always gonna wanna make it move
Always gonna be a uphill battle
Sometimes I'm gonna have to lose

Ain't about how fast I get there
Ain't about what's waiting on the other side
It's the climb, yeah!

There's always gonna be another mountain
I'm always gonna wanna make it move
Always gonna be an uphill battle
Somebody's gonna have to lose

Ain't about how fast I get there
Ain't about what's waiting on the other side
It's the climb, yeah!

Keep on moving, keep climbing
Keep the faith, baby
It's all about, it's all about the climb
Keep the faith, keep your faith.

I Miss U 2 ...

Dedicated to anyone who misses someone or something from their past. A song by Miley Cyrus (yes, the same singer who brought us the 'Climb') titled "I miss you". Just in case you may be wondering, she composed the song in memory of her late grandfather.

I think thinking about the past is perfectly normal but you shouldn't let it overcome you and forcing you to live in the past. Give the present a chance.

In the graduation video, I remembered the final words I embedded at the end;- "Don't cry because it's over. Smile because it's happened" :)

Cheers everyone. We part only to meet again.

...yup, I'm kinda missing someone right now myself.
